Open Mic Night at Coyote Branch Library
Join us every fourth Wednesday of the month for a night of creativity, connection, and
community! Whether you sing, dance, perform poetry, tell jokes, or have another unique
talent, this is your chance to shine.
How to Participate
• Registration opens about three weeks before each event on the library’s online calendar.
• Walk-ins are welcome if time allows.
• Priority is given to new performers or those who haven’t performed in the last three months.
• Each performer has 5 minutes.
• 3 minutes are allotted between acts for setup and breakdown.
Extra Performances
• If time permits, additional performances may be allowed at the discretion of the
emcee/library staff.
• Priority may be given to: spontaneous duets, audience-nominated acts, first-time performers,
or those who haven’t performed recently.
• Repeat performances or do-overs of the same piece are not allowed.
Stage & Equipment
• Stage size: 15 ft. wide × 9 ft. deep.
• One table available for instruments, laptops, or DJ equipment.
• 2 wireless microphones (connected to PA system).
• 1 standard mic stand, 1 boom-style stand (for instruments).
• PA system can play backing tracks via the room’s attached computer.
• Stereo speakers support Lightning, USB-A, USB-C, 1/8” & 1/4” connections.
Bringing Your Own Gear
• Small items (Bluetooth speakers, single guitar amps, etc.) are welcome if setup/breakdown
is within 3 minutes.
• Larger items (drum kits, etc.) can be accommodated with 24 hours’ notice or if noted during
registration. Performers must arrive early to set up.

The Coyote Branch Library opened in March of 2015 and features a stunning award-winning book installation. The book is over twenty-feet tall and encompasses the Children's Picture Book area. In addition to books, DVDs, and audio books, the Coyote Branch Library also offers storytimes, code club, small business trainings and more.
