Think you have what it takes to become the Buckeye Public Library Chess Champion?
Join us for an exciting single-elimination chess tournament open to players of all skill levels. Competitors will battle through five rounds of play for a chance to claim the tournament title. Whether you're a seasoned player or looking to test your skills in a friendly, competitive environment, this event is a great opportunity to challenge yourself and meet fellow chess enthusiasts.
Tournament games will use chess clocks, and all participants must follow tournament rules and good sportsmanship guidelines. Drawn games will be decided by a 10-minute Blitz tiebreak.

- Maximum 32 players
- Single-elimination format
- Five rounds
- Unrated tournament
- Open to all ages
- Registration required
Important Check-In Information
- Registration is required and will close 24 hours before the tournament start time
- Registered players must check in by 4:45 PM
- A walk-up waitlist will be available to fill any open tournament spots
- Players who have not checked in by 4:55 PM will forfeit their reserved spot to a waitlisted participant
- Tournament pairings will begin promptly following check-in
- Space is limited, so register early to secure your spot. Spectators are welcome.

Coyote Branch
The Coyote Branch Library opened in March of 2015 and features a stunning award-winning book installation. The book is over twenty-feet tall and encompasses the Children's Picture Book area. In addition to books, DVDs, and audio books, the Coyote Branch Library also offers storytimes, code club, small business trainings and more.
